Thank you for purchasing the newest member of your family from us and we welcome you into our dachshund family. We have raised all our dachshunds with love and care. We want you to enjoy them and love them as we have. Every canine that we sell comes with this guarantee, whether they are sold as pet/companion, breeder or show dog.   We strive to have happy, satisfied, pleased customers, who will have years of pleasure from the new member of their family, and who will share their stories with family and friends of our Dachshunds and our Guarantee.   Our intentions are to sell Healthy, Happy and Quality life-long companions.

 The reserve is your surety that I will not sell the puppy that you have chosen to anyone else and my guarantee that you will be purchasing the puppy that has been placed on hold for you, therefore, it is non-refundable, with one (1) exception: the pup dies while in my care before being picked up.

__Breeder guarantees that the canine described above is a purebred Dachshund with AKC registered Parents. __Breeder guarantees that the canine described above is in good health at time of purchase.

 __Breeder guarantees that the canine described above is up to date on all vaccinations and dewormings to date of age.

 __Breeder CAN NOT guarantee the (1) Adult Size, (2) Confirmation, (3) Color, (4) Temperament, or (5) Trainability of the canine.

  agree to purchase the above-mentioned canine and agree to the following terms and conditions.                       ___Malapelli's Minions Miniature Dachshunds requires you to take your new puppy to a veterinarian, of your choice, for an initial health evaluation, within 72 hours of pick-up from the date of receiving your puppy, for our “Sales Agreement / Health Guarantee” to be in effect.  If the puppy is not checked by a licensed veterinarian, within the stated amount of time, the seller/breeder is under NO obligation to accept the return of the dog or to refund any of the purchase price of said puppy.  If the dog is not yet vet-checked, the breeder is not responsible in any way for any problems that may occur after the stated 72 hours.  Should your puppy be diagnosed with a serious health problem at time of the evaluation, Malapelli's Minions Miniature Dachshunds is to be notified immediately. This does not include the following: whip, round, or any other species of worms. This also does not include: coccidia, giardia or campy as these are bacterial infections that can be picked up anywhere.  A copy of the licensed veterinarian’s diagnosis must be sent to us along with his signature, license number, phone number and address.  Malapelli's Minions Miniature Dachshunds will not accept injuries that have occurred after leaving our premises as any excuse for a refund.
 ___If you have made a mistake in taking on the responsibility of owning a new puppy, regardless of the reason, you MUST return the puppy to us as soon as possible.   There will be NO refunds or exchanges in the instance of returning the dog to us. Malapelli's Minions Miniature Dachshunds/Shona Malapelli is NOT responsible for any veterinarian costs, travel expenses, damages, etc. after the puppy leaves our premises with the new owner/buyer/purchaser.    
 ___If at any time during the life of your pet you decide that you no longer want, can care for, or can afford the upkeep on this pet, you MUST return the dog to the breeder (Shona Malapelli). You CAN NOT sell the dog to anyone, give the dog to anyone, take it to a shelter, euthanize or abandon the dog. Committing any of the afore mentioned actions is an offense and breach of this contract.
 ___The actions and upbringing of the canine is the responsibility of the new owner. Under no circumstances is the breeder responsible for the canine’s behavior once it leaves the breeders possession.
 ___Malapelli's Minions Miniature Dachshunds guarantees for the period of one (1) year against detrimental genetic defects that may interfere with the canine’s ability to lead a normal life. (A detrimental genetic defect is determined as one that is life threatening and may cause imminent death or the need of euthanasia).
 ___Conditions are listed and limited to HEART, KIDNEY, LIVER & HIP DYSPLASIA ONLY (Veterinarian confirmation is required) A licensed veterinarian must supply the breeder with a written diagnosis and be signed with his/her license number, phone number and address. (At the breeder’s request, a second opinion may be required, from a non-affiliated veterinarian, at the expense of the buyer.)
 ___Malapelli's Minions Miniature Dachshunds requires a Necropsy (Animal Autopsy) for verification of cause of death within the guarantee period. NO OTHER HEALTH CONDITIONS ARE COVERED BY THIS CONTRACT.
 ___Should a detrimental genetic defect develop that is covered under this contract, YOU MAY KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL PUP OR RETURN HIM/HER TO US. (You will be responsible for all delivery expenses, to either return, if you choose to, or to have a replacement puppy delivered). NO money will be refunded, no veterinarian, hospitalization, laboratory or medication monies will be paid by the breeder, should you decide to keep the original puppy, or return the puppy to us.  It was your choice to buy the pup and therefore you are responsible for all the medical expenses. NOTE: This is NOT a cosmetic guarantee! Example, like baby teeth not falling out, navel hernias, or kink in tail, dew claws, etc.…
 ___Malapelli's Minions Miniature Dachshunds is not responsible for your vet bills.  The decision and responsibility is yours, if you should decide to hospitalize your canine, have treatments done or any tests run.
 ___Your puppy will have all vaccinations to date of age and be from parents who are current on all vaccination and de-wormings, in good health and carrying no genetic defects that we are aware of. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PUPPY TO PUBLIC PARKS, PET STORES, WALKS AROUND THE BLOCK, OR ANY PUBLIC PLACES WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN CONTAMINATED BY SICK DOGS THAT MAY CARRY COMMON CANINE VIRUSES, BACTERIAL DISEASES ETC. , UNTIL ALL PUPPY VACCINATIONS ARE GIVEN, THESE COMMON CANINE VIRUSES AND DISEASES ARE VERY CONTAGIOUS AND OFTEN DEADLY. There is no excuse to miss a puppy vaccination at regularly scheduled times.  YOUR veterinarian will tell you when he/she advises shots to be given. We recommend 4 or 5 puppy vaccinations (without Lepto) and its yearly booster and rabies shot to be given at 15 - 18 weeks of age. DO NOT LET YOUR VET GIVE THE YEARLY BOOSTER AND THE RABIES SHOTS ON THE SAME DAY!! THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! THE SHOTS MUST BE GIVEN 3 WEEKS APART!!  Giving both shots at the same time can cause a deadly allergic reaction!  ALSO!  DO NOT EVER LET YOUR VET GIVE THE PUP A LEPTO SHOT!  IT CAN BE DEADLY!!  We keep all of our parents and pups up to date on vaccinations.  (We do not guarantee against the common canine diseases or viruses, should your puppy come into contact with any of them. Your puppy is not fully protected until all series of vaccinations are given (approx.. 4 months of age). I can not state the importance of this enough. Your puppy’s life depends on it).
 ___At the time of all sales, we believe our puppies to be in good health. Our pups have already seen a certified veterinarian at least once by the age of 8 weeks.  All puppies will have all shots up to date for their age and will have been de-wormed at least 4 times.   
 ___Our guarantee does not include Kennel Cough, or other problems such as coccidia (normally caused by stress), which are common to occur in puppies being transported to their new homes. These are usually cause by a bacteria, virus and/or air born disease. Kennel cough, like the common cold, must run its course, and is not life threatening. There are other certain disorders this guarantee does not cover that may be caused by environmental factors: allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demodectic mange and other autoimmune disorders.
 ___The Purchaser is aware that owning a puppy, means trips to the veterinarian and understands that he/she will be responsible for their puppy’s proper care, feeding, housing, and to keep their pup current on all vaccinations and de-wormings throughout the life of the pup.
 ___We advise that you keep your new pup away from any other dog(s) in your house until your veterinarian has given your puppy a clean bill of health.  We will not be responsible for the spreading of Kennel Cough, coccidia or any other disease, virus etc. that your puppy may have come into contact with during transportation etc.  Should your puppy, at this first visit to the vet, be found with worms, or coccidia, do not allow him/her to be around any of your dogs, as we will not be held responsible for spreading the disease/disorder to your other dogs. Ask your vet the amount of time to keep them separated.
 ___We de-worm all of our adults and puppies with Strongid or Pyrantel or other de-wormers. Our puppies are de-wormed at 2, 4 and 6 weeks as well as 7 weeks of age. Some puppies have more worms than others and our de-worming medicine might not have gotten rid of all worms and eggs. Like most other animals, dogs are plagued by a wide variety of internal and external parasites. Unfortunately, many of these parasites have complex life cycles which enable them to survive even in the best-kept households.  Also, coccidia can sometimes surface from stress, which can be brought on by traveling to their new home, leaving their environment and parents etc.
 ___This guarantee is offered to the Original Buyer (Purchaser) from the breeder and is NOT transferable nor honored to any other party.
 ___You will be asked to sign and date this guarantee, at the time of placing a deposit, or pick up of the pup, stating that you have read, understand, agree and accept in full, the terms of this guarantee and statements, before your puppy is released to you.    
 ___We recommend that you check with the FDA as to their recommendations for flea and tick as well as deworming products. Many brands have harmed or killed young dogs. If you or your veterinarian give a medicine that has been denounced by the FDA and harm comes to your pup, you and your vet are the responsible parties, and the breeder is not.
 ___Additional Guarantee: If bought as a breeder, with full AKC papers, the above-mentioned dog does not produce due to a birth defect (vet confirmation is required), we will give you another canine of equal value when available.  We do not refund any monies nor pay for any procedures. Transportation of replacement dog will be at the purchaser’s expense.
 ___ Puppy is to be spayed or neutered between 6 months and 1 year of age (unless puppy has been sold for breeding/show purposes and full registration is marked above.) If the dog is not spayed/neutered by this age, unless expressly forbidden by your veterinarian for health reasons, (I must have this in writing from your vet, with a full explanation), you relinquish all rights to this guarantee. 

_Buyer needs to be aware that a puppy is not an adult dog.  (S)he is leaving our home and is entering a new environment and stress related sicknesses may occur.  We try our best for a happy healthy puppy.  Proper care is a must.
 ___Buyer agrees to furnish proper care of quality food, water, shelter and veterinarian care for the life of the canine.   

The breeder/seller makes no warranties or guarantee, expressed or implied, other than those written in this agreement including without limitation the warranties of merchant ability and fitness.    
 ___This document constitutes the entire agreement between the Breeder/Seller and the Buyer with the legal respect to this sale.  In the event of a litigation of any kind, venue or jurisdiction shall lie exclusively in the Breeder/Seller’s court and state and any and all legal fees arising from said litigation shall be paid in full by the Buyer.
